We’ve been together so long that we genuinely can’t agree on our “official” first date—and honestly, that feels pretty on brand for us.
Our first encounter was technically on Mike’s 29th birthday, though it was more of a quick introduction. Months later, fate (and a neighborhood bar) stepped in. Mike walked up to Jessie with, “I know you from somewhere…”—without remembering her name.
What followed wasn’t some whirlwind romance. It started as a friendship, then slowly turned into something more… until one day we decided to give dating a shot. There was no formal “Will you be my girlfriend?” conversation. Instead, Mike just kind of started moving in —and never left.
That was 11 years ago.
Been living like an old, married couple since.
We’re finally doing the damn thing and making it official—and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with the people who mean the most to us.
